I wanted a weird magical looking sky and buildings for the inside of this thing to show how mystical the place is. Like some kind of pocket realm. The thing is if people lived here for centuries, it is likely they'd get migraines from how gaudy the color scheme is. I'm sure it would look better if I knew how to texture gold buildings.
